The test car was seen with the front and rear parts covered in black paint. This suggests that the model will apparently have some minor cosmetic improvements in terms of design. Although most of the details are hidden, some updates are still visible. At the front, Hyundai is expected to rework the grille and front bumper design. The headlamp layout seen on the current model will continue with the signature H-shaped DRLs. At the rear, the model may get a redesigned tailgate, rectangular tail lamps and a revised bumper. Lastly, you can expect it to feature a refreshed design for the alloy wheels.
In terms of the cabin, expected additions may include a larger touchscreen infotainment screen, an updated digital instrument cluster and a driver armrest. Hyundai may also include a dual-pane sunroof along with new upholstery options.Mechanically, the Exeter facelift is not expected to see major changes. It will continue to be powered by the 1.2-litre NA petrol motor. This engine produces 82 hp and 114 Nm torque. Transmission duties are handled by a 5-speed manual gearbox and AMT option. Hyundai will also continue to offer a factory-fitted CNG variant. Although Hyundai has not yet officially confirmed the launch timeline, the facelifted Exeter is expected to arrive in the Indian market in the coming few months. Image credit: Rushlane.
