    The 125cc motorcycle segment in India is quite competitive at the moment. These bikes have come a long way and offer much more than what was expected from this class just a few years ago. Hero Xtreme 125R and TVS Raider 125 are already well-established players here. Recently, Honda has joined the fight with the new CB125 Hornet. All three bikes are built for young riders and here’s how they fare in terms of engine, features and price.

    When it comes to performance, the Honda CB125 Hornet is powered by a 123.94cc single-cylinder engine that produces 11 hp at 7,500 rpm and 11.2 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Honda claims a 0-60 kmph acceleration of 5.4 seconds, making it the fastest of the three. This is one of the lightest bikes here, weighing in at 124 kg.The TVS Raider 125 uses a 124.8cc single-cylinder motor that produces 11.2 hp at 7,500 rpm and 11.2 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. With a 5-speed gearbox, the Raider weighs 123 kg, making it the lightest of the three. TVS claims 0-60 kmph acceleration in 5.8 seconds, which puts it behind the Honda in outright acceleration.Hero’s Xtreme 125R comes with a 124.7cc engine that produces 11.4 hp at 8,250 rpm and 10.5 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. While it produces the highest peak power, it is also the heaviest bike here, weighing in at 136 kg. 0-60 kmph takes 5.9 seconds.

    In terms of features, the TVS Raider gets a 5-inch TFT display, Bluetooth connectivity, SmartXConnect technology and even voice command support. However, it lacks ABS, which may matter to some buyers.

    The Honda CB125 Hornet focuses on a blend of safety and premium hardware, offering single-channel ABS and segment-first USD front forks. It also has a 4.2-inch TFT screen, Bluetooth connectivity through Honda RoadSync app and Type-C charging port. The Hero Xtreme 125R takes a more simple approach, with a digital instrument cluster, USB charging and bot single and dual-channel ABS options.

    Pricing is another important factor in this comparison. TVS Raider 125 remains the most affordable option, with ex-showroom prices starting at Rs 82,010. The ex-showroom price of Hero Xtreme 125R is more than Rs 89,000. On the other hand, Honda CB125 Hornet is priced at Rs 1,14,582 ex-showroom.
