JSW Motors has released the teaser of the upcoming Jetour T2-based SUV for the first time. JSW Motors’ first SUV for the Indian market will be assembled at its upcoming manufacturing facility in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra. A teaser image has surfaced as part of an advertisement inviting applications from potential JSW Motors dealer partners. The teaser image shows its silhouette and the tagline, “The future is calling. Will you join the campaign?”
The teased image highlights the front profile of the SUV, which includes horizontal LED headlight strips and pixel-style LED fog lamps housed within circular units. It also sees a straight bonnet, prominent bumper and square wheel arches, matching the design of the Jetour T2. This confirms that the launch of the new Jetour T2 is approaching. However, its final name for the Indian market is yet to be announced, and the SUV is expected to feature minor design revisions along with JSW Motors branding inside and outside.
All about Jetour T2 design In terms of design, the Jetour T2 adopts the off-road SUV’s typical boxy, upright shape with a wide rectangular grille, integrated LED lighting and rounded headlamp housings featuring horizontal LED elements. A flat bonnet, thick bumper and skid-plate-style underbody add to its off-road-focused design. Along the sides, it features square wheel arches, body cladding and a straight shoulder line connecting the front and rear. The tall stance, large alloy wheels and roof rails further underline its SUV proportions. At the rear, the SUV features a vertical tailgate that houses a spare wheel, along with slim LED tail-lamps and a prominent bumper.
engine options The international-spec Jetour T2 is offered with plug-in hybrid and all-electric powertrains, but a version planned for India has not been confirmed. Globally, the plug-in hybrid uses a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 154hp and 220Nm, paired with a 26.7kWh battery that supports single-motor front-wheel drive or dual-motor all-wheel drive configurations. The battery is rated for a claimed 139 km range under the NEDC cycle. Reports indicate that the India-spec model is likely to use a hybrid system instead of an EV option.
Interior and Features Moving inside, the Jetour T2 has a straightforward cabin layout with a wide, layered dashboard, reflecting its off-road focus. It features a large tablet-style touchscreen and a fully digital instrument cluster behind the steering wheel, as well as a long center console that includes the gear selector, physical controls and storage space. Grab handles, metallic accents and contrasting trim are also part of the design.Key features include a 15.6-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital driver display, a panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charging, a 12-speaker Sony sound system, powered and ventilated front seats and automatic climate control.
