KTM has launched the much-awaited 390 Adventure R in India. The model is priced at Rs 3.77 lakh, ex-showroom and sits between the 390 Adventure X and the standard 390 Adventure in the KTM line-up. Take a quick look at what’s on offer here.
KTM 390 Adventure R : Main Details
Visually, it gets refreshed graphics and a taller stance, while the overall bodywork remains the same as the standard 390 Adventure.Power comes from a 398.7cc, single-cylinder motor that produces 46 hp and 39 Nm of torque. The motor is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. KTM has retained its full electronics package, which includes cornering ABS, cornering traction control and a dedicated off-road mode.
The biggest change in the 390 Adventure R is in its cycle parts. The bike gets a high-spec WP Apex suspension setup with 230 mm of travel at both the front and rear. It has 21-inch front and 18-inch rear cross-spoke wheels shod with tube-type tyres. The switch to tube-type wheels has also helped KTM lower the price of the R edition compared to the standard model.With the longer suspension, seat height has gone up to 870 mm, while ground clearance is now 272 mm. On the feature front, the KTM 390 Adventure R gets a 5-inch full-color TFT display with smartphone connectivity via KTMConnect. It has the facility of calls, music and turn-by-turn navigation, while a USB Type-C port is provided for charging devices.In terms of price, the KTM 390 Adventure R is priced around Rs 19,000 less than the standard 390 Adventure, which is priced at Rs 3.97 lakh, ex-showroom. Bookings for the new model are open at KTM dealerships in India for a token amount of Rs 2,000.
