It is also expected to use the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine from the Renault Kiger. The unit produces 100hp and is available with manual or CVT transmission.Once introduced, the model is expected to compete in the segment with rivals like the Maruti Suzuki Swift, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Tata Nexon and Kia Sonet. The model will also benefit from Renault’s localization strategy and positioning in the Indian market. A Nissan version is also likely to arrive at a later stage. For Renault, this model could help strengthen its sales in India by expanding its presence in the high-volume compact SUV segment, where demand remains strong.
