renault bridger Concept: key details
The Bridger Concept was showcased during Renault’s recent Strategy Day presentation. Although the company has not yet revealed full specifications, the concept gives a clear idea of what the production model could look like and where it would sit in Renault’s future product strategy. The production version is expected to be introduced around 2027, when Renault plans to expand its portfolio with several new models for the Indian market.
In terms of styling, the Bridger Concept adopts a strong and straightforward design. It has a square stance, muscular wheel arches and a boxy silhouette. The overall shape and proportions also draw some visual comparisons with the Land Rover Defender. At the front, the SUV features a bold grille, distinctive LED lighting elements and Renault lettering integrated into the gloss-black panel. Apart from this, it gets a flat bonnet, straight windscreen and chunky body cladding. It is also expected to get 18-inch alloy wheels and ground clearance of around 200 mm.
Renault Bridger Concept: Expected powertrain
The production version of the Bridger will be built on Renault’s R-GMP architecture. The company plans to offer a wide range of powertrain options, including petrol, hybrid and fully electric versions. In line with Renault’s long-term strategy for India, manufacturing of the Bridger is expected to begin around 2027. Once it reaches showrooms, the Bridger is expected to compete directly with popular compact SUVs like the Brezza, Venue, Nexon and Sonet. It will also take on upcoming concept-based models like the Mahindra Vision S, which has been spotted testing in India.
