tata express petrol, cng sedan : Main Details
The Express petrol and CNG are powered by Tata Motors’ familiar 1.2-litre Revotron engine, mated to a manual transmission. In petrol form, the engine produces 86 hp and 113 Nm of torque, while the CNG version produces 75.5 hp and 95 Nm. On the safety front, the XPRES is equipped with dual front airbags for protection during frontal impacts. The CNG variant also gets a leak detection system that automatically switches the car from CNG to petrol mode in case of gas leakage. Convenient features include rear parking sensors and a reverse parking camera. Fog lamps have also been added.
One of the most striking features of the Xpres CNG is its segment-first twin-cylinder CNG tank. Tata Motors claims that this setup helps maintain a usable boot space of 227 litres, addressing a common concern among sedan-based taxi operators. With the launch of XPRES in petrol and CNG, Tata Motors now offers electric, petrol and CNG powertrain options to fleet buyers under the Xpres nameplate.
