After the recent launch of the updated Punch EV, Tata Motors is preparing another update for the Tiago EV. Fresh spy photos of a camouflaged test vehicle have surfaced online. As can be seen in the images, the electric hatchback may receive noticeable design and feature upgrades ahead of its possible launch in the near future. Let’s take a look at what we can expect.
Tata Tiago EV Facelift: what to expect
The test mule has heavy camouflage at the front which suggests that the car is likely to get a revised fascia. The upcoming model is expected to have a redesigned nose section with a blanked-off grille and a new bumper. Sharp LED headlamps and slim DRLs also appear to be part of the update. There are also likely to be some styling changes at the rear, including revised tail lamps and a new bumper design.Additionally, the test vehicle appears to have new aero-style alloy designs. There seem to be horizontal slats in the lower grille area, and the location of the fog lamps can also be modified.
The cabin is also expected to get an upgrade. The updated model may get an updated touchscreen infotainment system with a new digital instrument cluster. Furthermore, we can expect additional features like a 360-degree camera and wireless charging. On the mechanical side, the facelifted Tiago EV is expected to continue with the existing battery options. The current model is offered with 19.2 kWh and 24 kWh battery packs, with a claimed range of up to 315 km. There is also speculation that a larger battery pack may be introduced in the future, although no official confirmation has been made yet.
