toyota urban cruiser abella vs Hyundai Creta: Battery, specs compared
The urban cruiser Abella is a badge-engineered offering and shares its core architecture with the Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara. Toyota will offer the electric SUV with two battery options. The smaller 49 kWh pack produces 142 hp and 189 Nm of torque, while the larger 61 kWh unit produces 172 hp and the same 189 Nm of torque. The main attraction here is the claimed driving range, with the big battery promising up to 543 km on a single charge.
On the other hand, Hyundai Creta Electric comes with its own two battery options. The standard variant uses a 42 kWh battery with an ARAI-certified range of 390 km, while the long range variant gets a larger 51.4 kWh pack that offers a claimed range of 473 km per charge. Powering the Creta Electric is an electric motor that produces 171 hp and 255 Nm of torque. In terms of outright range, the Toyota Urban Cruiser Abella is in the lead, especially with its larger 61 kWh battery and claimed figure of 543 km. However, the Hyundai Creta Electric counters with stronger torque output. Since Toyota’s pricing is still under wraps, the final purchase decision is likely to depend on price, features and charging ecosystem support when both the models are available together in showrooms.
