Volkswagen India is preparing to launch the updated Volkswagen Taigun in the Indian market. This SUV has been seen several times during testing, which shows that its debut is going to happen soon. The recent launch of its sibling, the Skoda Kushaq facelift, further suggests that the arrival of the Taigun is imminent. The facelifted Taigun is expected to be introduced in April 2026. Ahead of its launch, let’s take a look at everything we know so far. Volkswagen Taigun facelift: Design The facelifted Taigun will get updated exterior styling with revised front and rear bumpers, refreshed LED lighting graphics and new interior features. Since the Taigun and Kushaq are built on the same MQB-A0-IN platform and their underlying architecture is largely similar, the Taigun facelift is likely to include many of the updates recently introduced in the new Kushaq.
According to recently revealed images, the facelifted Volkswagen Taigun seems to be receiving several design updates, especially at the front. The SUV now has a thin grille surrounded by new LED headlamps and LED DRLs connected by a thin LED strip. An illuminated Volkswagen logo has also been added to the front, while the bumper has been modified for a cleaner look. The side profile remains largely unchanged from the existing model. However, the facelift may introduce a new design for the alloy wheels. Elements like the conventional door handles, body-coloured ORVMs, blacked-out B-pillars, roof rails and shark-fin antenna are expected to remain unchanged. At the rear, the Taigun facelift gets updated taillamps, although the overall housing of the connected lighting setup looks similar to the existing model. The test vehicle seen sports camouflage between the taillamps, possibly hiding a thick full-width LED strip. There may also be an illuminated red Volkswagen badge hidden between the tail-lamps. The rear bumper has also been revised with a simpler design. The chrome detailing has been reduced, while the silver skid plate now has a smoother finish. The bumper reflectors have been repositioned vertically, replacing the horizontal layout used on the current model.Volkswagen Taigun Facelift: Interior and FeaturesMoving towards the cabin, the overall layout is expected to remain largely unchanged with some minor modifications and feature additions.
