    Honda Cars India is gearing up for a major product update in the country, with the facelifted Honda City and the all-new Honda ZR-V scheduled to be launched on May 22. Here’s a quick look at what we can expect from the two upcoming models.

    Starting with the City facelift, this will be the second update for the current generation model. The exterior changes are expected to be mild with minor changes to the headlamps, tail-lamps, bumpers and alloy wheels. The overall look of the sedan is likely to remain unchanged.However, expect to see more notable upgrades in the cabin. Honda is likely to introduce a large touchscreen infotainment system with a fully digital instrument cluster. Features like ventilated front seats, a powered driver’s seat, and a 360-degree camera may also be added.

    Under the hood, no major changes are expected. The City will likely continue with its 1.5-litre petrol engine that produces around 119 bhp and 145 Nm, which will be paired with a 6-speed manual or CVT. The stronger hybrid version is also expected to continue, offering a combined output of 124 bhp with the e-CVT gearbox.Along with the sedan, Honda will introduce the ZR-V as a completely new nameplate for India. It will come as a full CBU import and will position itself as the brand’s flagship SUV in the market. In terms of design, the ZR-V adopts a more rounded and urban crossover look. Globally, it measures approximately 4,568 mm in length, 1,840 mm in width, 1,620 mm in height and 2,657 mm in wheelbase, and is expected to have similar dimensions as the India-spec model.Powering the ZR-V will likely be a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder strong hybrid setup producing around 180 hp, paired with an e-CVT automatic transmission. On the features front, the SUV is expected to be equipped with a large freestanding touchscreen, dual-zone climate control, powered front seats, powered tailgate, wireless charging, and a comprehensive ADAS suite.
