Skoda Auto India has finally launched the 2026 Skoda Kodiaq SUV in the Indian market, priced at Rs 36.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The overall design and mechanical setup remains unchanged, while feature modifications are aimed at enhancing the ownership experience. Skoda has also made significant revisions to the price structure of the Kodiaq. The entry-level Lounge trim is now Rs 3 lakh more affordable, while the Sportline variant carries a premium of Rs 1 lakh. Prices of the range-topping selection L&K have also increased by Rs 50,000.
The biggest addition to the 2026 Kodiaq is the addition of Level 2 ADAS on the mid-spec Sportline and Selection L&K variants. It gets adaptive cruise control, adaptive headlights, lane keep assist, blind spot warning and front warning assist, rear cross traffic alert and more. The Sportline variant now gets several features that were previously limited to the top-spec Selection L&K trim, including an illuminated grille, Level 1 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, and a pre-crash occupant protection system.
Apart from these, the Kodiaq gets a 13.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, a 10-inch digital instrument cluster with HUD display, 15W wireless smartphone charging with active cooling, unique LED ambient light strip placement and umbrella storage on the front doors. Other expected features include connected car technology, an in-built navigation system, a premium sound system, a performance-oriented feature display, a power delivery display and an off-road information display.The Skoda Kodiaq is powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, turbo petrol engine producing 190 PS of power and 320 Nm of torque. It comes with a 7-speed DSG gearbox, which supplies power to all four wheels. Skoda says that the Kodiaq offers a claimed fuel efficiency of 14.86 kmpl. The SUV will compete against rivals including the Toyota Fortuner, Volkswagen Teron R-Line, MG Gloster and Jeep Meridian, while also serving as an alternative to the upcoming MG Magster.
