Maruti Suzuki has revised the prices of the Dezire sedan in India, making most variants costlier by Rs 7,500. The price update comes at a time when there continues to be strong demand for the Dezire, which has emerged as the country’s best-selling car with sales of around 2.14 lakh units in 2025.The entry-level Dezire is unaffected by the latest revision and remains priced at Rs 6.25 lakh, ex-showroom. However, all other variants in the lineup have increased in price.Among the range, the CNG variant has seen the biggest increase. The VXi CNG and ZXi CNG trims have now become costlier by Rs 7,500. The VXi CNG, which was earlier available at Rs 8.03 lakh, is now priced at Rs 8.10 lakh, ex-showroom. Similarly, the price of the ZXi CNG variant is now priced at Rs 9.11 lakh, which is higher than its previous price of Rs 9.03 lakh, ex-showroom. The price of petrol-powered VXI manual and AMT variants has increased by Rs 5,000. After the revision, the VXi MT is now priced at Rs 7.22 lakh, while the VXi AMT is now priced at Rs 7.67 lakh, both ex-showroom. The same Rs 5,000 hike has been applied to the ZXi MT and ZXi AMT variants. These variants are now available at Rs 8.22 lakh and Rs 8.67 lakh, ex-showroom. The top-spec ZXi+ trim has also become costlier by Rs 5,000. The ZXi+ MT is now priced at Rs 8.91 lakh, while the AMT variant is priced at Rs 9.36 lakh, ex-showroom.

Maruti Suzuki Dezire: Engine Specifications

Under the hood, the Dezire continues with Maruti Suzuki’s three-cylinder petrol engine. The motor produces 80.46 bhp and 111.7 Nm of torque and is paired with a five-speed manual gearbox. Additionally, a factory-fitted CNG version is also on offer, where the same engine produces 68.79 bhp and 101.8 Nm of torque.Efficiency is one of the sedan’s biggest strengths. The petrol-powered Dezire claims a mileage of 24.79 km/l, while the CNG variant offers 33.73 km/kg.
