Nissan India has recently launched the much-awaited Nissan Tecton SUV in the Indian market. Interested customers can book the new Tecton online or by visiting their nearest dealership by paying Rs 21,000 and the deliveries will start from July 20. The new Tecton shares its platform with the new Renault Duster and will be manufactured at Renault’s facility in Tamil Nadu. This SUV will compete with Renault Duster, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Victoris, Volkswagen Taigun and other mid-size SUVs in the Indian market.

The Nissan Tecton is offered in six variants – Visia, Visia Plus, Acenta, N-Connecta, Tekna and Tekna Plus, with prices ranging from Rs 10.49 lakh to Rs 18.59 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively. It is offered in two engine options – a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbo petrol, producing 100hp, 166Nm of torque and paired only with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Another engine option is a 1.3-litre, 4-cylinder turbo petrol that produces 163hp, 280Nm, and is paired with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed dual-clutch automatic (DCT).
