Delhi Traffic Police has issued a detailed traffic advisory to help commuters avoid congestion during the full dress rehearsal for the Republic Day Parade. As per PTI report, the rehearsal is scheduled for January 23 and there will be restrictions on several roads in Central Delhi from morning till the end of the rehearsal.As per the advisory, vehicular movement will be restricted on the duty path between Vijay Chowk and India Gate during rehearsal hours. Raisina Road, Janpath, C-Hexagon and several nearby roads will also face traffic restrictions. Authorities have advised passengers traveling between North and South Delhi to avoid the Central Delhi routes and instead use the Ring Road, Outer Ring Road and other peripheral corridors to minimize delays. Heavy vehicles will face controls on main roads leading to the duty path.While Delhi Metro services will operate normally, entry and exit may be regulated at some stations adjacent to the parade route depending on security requirements. Commuters have been advised to stay updated through the official traffic police social media handles and helpline numbers for real-time information.

Meanwhile, Gurugram Traffic Police has also issued an advisory regarding entry of heavy vehicles in Delhi and Gurugram in view of the Republic Day celebrations and final rehearsals. According to officials, entry of medium and heavy goods vehicles will be restricted from 5 pm on January 22 to 1:30 pm on January 23 and again from 5 pm on January 25 to 1:30 am on January 26.Heavy vehicles coming from Jaipur on NH-48 will be diverted from Pachgaon on KMP Expressway. Vehicles from local areas of Gurugram will be directed through alternative routes at places like Hero Honda Chowk, Shankar Chowk, Mehrauli Border, Sohna, Pataudi and Farrukhnagar.
