Ferrari has confirmed that its first all-electric sports car will be called the Ferrari Luce. The company has also revealed the interior layout and digital interface of the upcoming EV. With the Luce, Ferrari is not only entering the electric era, but also introducing a new naming direction for its future models.

    Ferrari Luce interior: highlights

The highlight of the Ferrari Luce is its interior, developed in collaboration with LoveFrom, the design collective co-founded by Sir Jony Ive, Apple’s former chief design officer and closely associated with the design language of the iPhone.

Ferrari says the cabin has been shaped based on a clear philosophy: keep interactions intuitive and engaging by prioritizing physical controls over a touchscreen-heavy layout. As a result, the Luce’s interior features digital displays along with mechanical switches, dials and toggles.Inspired by Ferrari’s classic three-spoke wooden wheels of the 1950s and 1960s, the Luce’s wheels have been reinterpreted using recycled aluminum alloy. It has triangular control pods with aviation-style switches, including rotary selectors for drive modes such as Range, Tour and Performance. On the right is Ferrari’s signature red manettino dial, which allows drivers to adjust chassis settings including Ice, Wet, Dry, Sport and ESC Off.There is a 12.5-inch instrument cluster behind the steering column, just behind the steering wheel. This setup uses special Samsung OLED displays and takes visual inspiration from aviation equipment. The central dial combines a physical needle with a digital speed readout, while surrounding displays show important information like battery status, energy regeneration, tire pressure and G-force readings. The upper OLED layer can also display warnings, navigation prompts, and performance-related indicators. The Ferrari has a unique launch control system, which is activated by pulling a grip located above the driver’s head, similar to controls found in helicopters. Nearby switches are used to operate outdoor lighting. The center console includes cup holders, physical buttons for locking and boot access, and dedicated switches for all four power windows. Rear passengers also get a touchscreen that displays information like speed and lap time. The Ferrari Luce was known internally as the Elettrica during its development phase. The final phase of Luce’s introduction, including a full outdoor demonstration, is scheduled to take place in Italy in May 2026.
