India’s passenger vehicle sales charts for February 2026 saw stiff competition at the top, with Tata Motors taking two of the three best-selling models. Tata Nexon was the country’s best-selling car this month with 19,430 units, continuing its consistent performance in the compact SUV segment.Maruti Suzuki Dezire came very close to taking the top spot. The sedan recorded 19,326 units, lagging behind by a slight margin of a little over 100 units. The third position was taken by Tata Punch, which recorded sales of 18,748 units. With both Nexon and Punch in the top three, Tata Motors maintained a strong presence in the SUV segment during the month.
Among other high-volume models, Hyundai Creta recorded 17,938 units, followed by Maruti Suzuki Brezza at 17,863 units.
