:2026 Renault Kiger launch: New variants, changes explained |

Renault India has expanded the Kiger line-up by introducing four new variants in naturally aspirated and turbo-petrol powertrains. The update aims to make turbo performance and premium features more accessible to buyers. With the revised range, the Renault Kiger Turbo is now priced at Rs 7.89 lakh (ex-showroom), making it the most affordable turbo-powered sub-compact SUV. Renault has also introduced a new Evolution+ variant, available with both naturally aspirated and turbo-petrol engines, with prices starting at Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Interested customers can book the updated Kiger online or by visiting their nearest Renault dealership. Deliveries are expected to begin soon.

Positioned just above the entry-level trim, the Evolution variant comes equipped with LED daytime running lights and LED tail lamps, an 8-inch infotainment system supporting wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, steering wheel-mounted audio controls, rear AC vents, fabric seat upholstery, electrically adjustable ORVMs and a rear parking camera. The Evolution+ trim brings a host of features like smart access card with push-button start/stop, automatic climate control, wireless smartphone replication, driver seat height adjustment and lightweight embossed fabric upholstery.

Many of the features offered on the Evolution variant are carried over from the higher-spec Techno trim. LED headlamps and 16-inch flex wheels have also been added to the Techno variant. At the top of the range, the Emotion variant exclusively offers features like ventilated front seats, 360-degree camera, diamond-cut alloy wheels and selectable drive modes.As part of the update, Renault has expanded the Kiger Turbo portfolio from three to five variants. The Techno trim is now available with a turbo-petrol engine and a 5-speed manual gearbox, giving buyers another performance-focused option in the range. The naturally aspirated Kiger line-up has also been expanded from six to eight variants, giving customers a wider choice of features and price points.The Renault Kiger continues to be offered with two engine options – a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with 72hp, 96 Nm and a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine with 100 hp and 160 Nm of torque. The turbo motor is available with manual, CVT and now a variety of options. The NA engine is offered with a 5-speed MT or AMT gearbox.
