Citroen has released another teaser of its upcoming refreshed electric hatchback. The updated model is expected to be called eC3X, following the French brand’s revised naming strategy, which has already been introduced on models like the C3X, AircrossThe latest teaser suggests that the electric hatchback will get a noticeable styling refresh. While the overall silhouette is expected to remain familiar, the updated model will feature a redesigned front bumper with a silver skid-plate-style element. Citroen is expected to upgrade the lighting package by introducing LED DRLs and LED fog lamps instead of the simple setup offered on the current eC3.Other exterior changes may include a new set of dual-tone alloy wheels and redesigned outside rear-view mirrors with integrated turn indicators. The cabin is also likely to benefit from several feature additions. The carmaker may offer leather finish for the steering wheel and parts of the dashboard along with ambient lighting. Features like automatic climate control, cruise control with speed limiter, fast-charging USB Type-C port and an auto-dimming inside the rear-view mirror are also expected to be added. The existing 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system is likely to be carried over. It is expected to continue to offer wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The higher-spec variants may additionally get a 360-degree camera and a new 7-inch fully digital instrument cluster.Under the skin, the updated electric hatchback is not expected to receive any major mechanical modifications. The eC3X is likely to retain the existing 29.2 kWh battery pack along with an electric motor that produces 57 PS and 143 Nm of torque. Citroen currently claims a driving range of around 320 km on a single charge, while the top speed is rated at 107 kmph.Once launched, the refreshed Citroen eC3X will continue to take on rivals like the Tata Punch EV and the newly updated Tiago EV in India’s growing mass-market electric vehicle sector.
