Hyundai Motor India has confirmed plans to launch two all-new SUVs in the country during FY27. The announcement was made as part of the company’s financial results for FY 2025-26, where Hyundai also outlined its future growth and expansion plans for the Indian market.One of the upcoming models will be a new mid-size SUV powered by an internal combustion engine, while the other product will be a compact electric SUV based on a local dedicated EV platform. Hyundai said the upcoming EV will mark the debut of its localized dedicated battery electric vehicle in the compact SUV category. The company has not yet revealed the specific name and details.
The company is targeting domestic volume growth of 8 to 10 per cent in FY27, supported by new product launches, network expansion and higher production capacity. Hyundai also expects 8 to 10 percent growth in exports despite global geopolitical uncertainties.Hyundai said it achieved its highest-ever quarterly domestic sales in Q4FY26, with wholesales growing 8.7 per cent year-on-year. Rural penetration also reached a record 25 percent during the quarter. The company also recorded its highest ever quarterly CNG contribution at 18 per cent. Hyundai is also expanding its manufacturing operations in India. The company announced expansion of an additional 70,000 units at its Pune facility following the development of the second phase. This will take Hyundai’s total annual production capacity in India to 1.14 million units by 2030. As part of its future investment roadmap, Hyundai also plans capital expenditure of around Rs 7,500 crore for FY27 to support product development, manufacturing expansion and overall growth in India.
