Kia India today announced the launch of the new HTK (EX) variant for the Kia Ciros sub-compact SUV. The new combination is set to offer a rich feature set while keeping the pricing competitive, expanding the portfolio of the compact SUV to seven variants. The new HTK (EX) trim is priced at Rs 9.90 lakh for the turbo petrol engine option and Rs 10.64 lakh for the diesel (both prices ex-showroom). Interested buyers can book the Ciaz in this new trim online or by visiting their nearest dealership.

The new Syros HTK(EX) variant is based on the HTK(O) trim and gets features like LED daytime running lights, headlamps and taillamps along with 16-inch alloy wheels. Additional features include an electric sunroof, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, four speakers with two tweeters, steering-mounted controls, 4.2-inch MID, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, driver seat height adjustment, rear AC vents with sun shade curtains for the rear doors and a rear parking camera with sensors. Safety features include six airbags, ABS, ESC, hill start assist, VSM, EBD and more.

The sub-compact SUV gets two engine options – a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, turbo-petrol that produces 120hp of power and 172Nm of torque. It is paired with a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DCT. The second engine is a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, turbo diesel with 115hp power and 250Nm torque. It is paired with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed torque converter automatic. In terms of design, the new Kia Ciros features a completely new design and follows Kia’s global design language. Its design is inspired by the Carnival, EV3 and EV9. The Sciros features a boxy and upright design, with vertically stacked LED headlamps mounted on the sides of the bumper. These headlamps feature three LED projector units and a unique drop-down LED daytime running light design, similar to what we have seen on the new Carnival. The upper part of the front fascia is sealed and looks almost EV-like. The air intake is integrated into the black lower section, accented by a contrasting silver trim.
