Nissan India recently launched the new Nissan Tecton SUV in the Indian market, with prices starting at Rs 10.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Interested customers can book the new Tecton online or by visiting their nearest dealership by paying Rs 21,000 and the deliveries will start from July 20. This SUV will compete with Renault Duster, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Victoris, Volkswagen Taigun and other mid-size SUVs in the Indian market. The starting price of Rs 10.29 lakh was applicable for customers who pre-booked their cars by March 2026; After that the standard price starts at Rs 10.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Another engine option is a 1.3-litre, 4-cylinder turbo petrol that produces 163hp, 280Nm, and is paired with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed dual-clutch automatic (DCT). On the other hand, the Duster will additionally be offered with a 1.8-litre strong hybrid petrol engine producing 109 hp, paired with a 49 hp electric motor and a 20 hp hybrid starter generator (HSG) coupled with a 1.4kWh (280V) battery. Together, this configuration delivers a combined system output of 160hp and 172Nm. This hybrid powertrain will be launched in this festive season.
