It appears that Mahindra is preparing to give the first major update to the Scorpio N. This SUV has once again been spotted during testing. This time near Jaisalmer in Rajasthan, indicating that development work is progressing steadily ahead of a possible launch in the coming months. The Scorpio N, introduced in 2022, has become one of the most popular SUVs from Mahindra. Recent spy images show a heavily camouflaged test mule, but some design changes are already visible. Although Mahindra has not officially confirmed the launch timeline, continuous sightings of test vehicles suggest that the updated Scorpio N could make its India debut in the coming months.
Mahindra Scorpio N Facelift : what to expect
The most noticeable update is expected to be at the front, where the facelifted SUV may get a redesigned grille with horizontal slats. The front bumper is also likely to be revised with subtle changes to the headlamp design and air intake section. On the side profile, Mahindra may introduce a new set of 18-inch alloy wheels, while minor changes to the rear bumper and tail lamps are also expected. The cabin is expected to get even bigger upgrades. Spy shots of earlier test vehicles have indicated a redesigned dashboard layout featuring horizontal air conditioning vents in place of the existing vertical units. The SUV is also expected to come with a large floating touchscreen infotainment system. The new display may be around 10.25 inches. Another important addition could be the fully digital 10.25-inch instrument cluster. Mahindra is also expected to expand the feature list. One of the most awaited upgrades is the panoramic sunroof, which will replace the existing single-pane unit.
Mahindra Scorpio N Facelift: Engine
Under the hood, the Scorpio N facelift is expected to remain mechanically unchanged. The SUV is likely to continue with the existing 2.0-litre mStallion turbo-petrol engine that produces up to 200 hp, along with a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine offered in several states.Transmission options are expected to remain the same, with both manual and automatic gearbox options available. Select diesel variants are also likely to retain Mahindra’s 4×4 drivetrain system.
