    Skoda has unveiled its new flagship electric SUV, Peak. Positioned at the top of the brand’s EV line-up, the three-row electric SUV is set to take on premium family-focused electric models like the Kia EV9, Hyundai Ioniq 9 and Volvo EX90 in the global markets.

    Skoda Peak:Design and dimensions

    Built on Volkswagen Group’s MEB+ electric vehicle platform, the Peak measures 4,874 mm in length, 1,867 mm in width and 1,664 mm in height, while its wheelbase is 2,965 mm. It offers a 299-litre boot with all seats in place. Folding the third row increases luggage capacity to 935 litres, while an additional 37-litre front trunk adds additional storage space.The Peak follows Skoda’s latest modern solid design philosophy. At the front, the SUV features a gloss-black closed-off ‘Tech Deck’ panel instead of a conventional grille, flanked by T-shaped matrix LED headlamps and a full-width lighting signature. Functional air vents are also incorporated into the bumper to help cool the vehicle’s electrical components.Moving to the rear, the SUV gets T-shaped LED tail lamps, a dual-tone bumper, a roof-mounted spoiler and a shark-fin antenna. Flush-fitting door handles and aerodynamic alloy wheels are also part of the package.

    Skoda Peak: Cabin and features

    Inside, the Peak features a 13.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10-inch digital instrument cluster and a heated two-spoke steering wheel with Skoda wordmarks. Other features include a panoramic sunroof, dual wireless smartphone chargers, USB charging ports in all three rows, and a 16-speaker Sonos audio system. Skoda has also introduced a digital key feature for the first time, which allows owners to lock and unlock the vehicle using a smartphone or smartwatch. Higher-spec versions can be additionally equipped with a head-up display, massaging front seats with power-adjustable leg rests and foldable tables for rear passengers.

    Skoda Peak: Powertrain

    Skoda will offer the Peak in three variants. The entry-level Peak 60 uses a 63 kWh battery pack paired with a rear-mounted electric motor producing 204 hp. This variant offers a claimed driving range of 459 km and can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 8.6 seconds.

    The mid-spec Peak 90 is equipped with a larger 91 kWh battery pack and a more powerful rear-mounted motor producing 286 hp. It offers the highest claimed range of 647 km in the line-up and accelerates from 0-100 kmph in 7.1 seconds.At the top of the range is the Peak 90x, which combines a 91 kWh battery with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup. This system produces 299 hp, helping the SUV accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 6.7 seconds. It offers a claimed range of 613 km. All variants support fast charging, with the Peak capable of accepting DC charging speeds of up to 199 kW.
