    Ventilated seats, once limited to high-end cars, are now offered in more affordable models as carmakers expand comfort features to lower-priced segments. Rising temperatures and increased time spent in traffic have contributed to this change, making such features more relevant to everyday use. These are now available in multiple body styles, including hatchbacks and compact SUVs, without significant increase in additional cost. For buyers battling heat and long journeys, ventilated seats provide added comfort. In this article, let’s take a look at cars under Rs 12 lakh in India that are equipped with ventilated seats.

    renault kiger

    The first SUV on the list is the Renault Kiger, which gets ventilated seats in its top-spec Emotion trim, which is priced at Rs 8.4 lakh (ex-showroom). Feature highlights include 16-inch alloy wheels with red brake callipers, LED fog lamps, automatic headlamps, an 8.0-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 7.0-inch configurable digital instrument cluster, a 6-speaker Arcamis sound system, drive modes, cruise control, a wireless charger, a rear defogger, a cooled glove box, ambient interior lighting, remote Engine start (turbo variants) included. Ventilated front seats, 360-degree camera, rain-sensing wipers and more. Engine options include 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, NA petrol and 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, turbo petrol.

    The second SUV on the list is the Kia Sonet, which gets ventilated seats from the HTX trim, which is priced at Rs 11.65 lakh (ex-showroom). Feature highlights include LED DRLs, foglamps and taillamps, 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, front parking sensors, automatic climate control, an electric sunroof and more. It gets three engine options – a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, a 1.2-litre NA petrol engine and a 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine.

    Skoda Kilak

    Next is the Skoda Kylak which gets ventilated seats in its top-spec Prestige trim, which is priced at Rs 11.75 lakh (ex-showroom). Other features include 17-inch alloy wheels, electric sunroof, powered front seats, 10-inch touchscreen, auto AC, cruise control and more. The Kylaq is powered by a single 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, turbo petrol engine producing 115 hp of power and 178 Nm of torque.

    Hyundai Venue

    Next is the Hyundai Venue which gets ventilated seats from the HX8 trim which is priced at Rs 11.9 lakh (ex-showroom). Feature highlights include a 4-way powered driver seat, electronic parking brake with auto hold, automatic headlights, automatic climate control, a wireless charging pad, connected car technology, over-the-air (OTA) vehicle updates, an electric sunroof, a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and more. It gets three engine options – a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, a 1.2-litre NA petrol engine and a 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine.

    Next is the Kia Sciros which gets not only front, but also rear ventilation. Front ventilated seats are available from the HTX trim which is priced at Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom). However, rear ventilation is offered only in the top spec HTX Plus (O) variant. It gets two engine options – a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, turbo-petrol that produces 120hp of power and 172Nm of torque. It is paired with a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DCT. The second engine is a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, turbo diesel with 115hp power and 250Nm torque.

    Tata Nexon

    Next on the list is the Tata Nexon which is priced at a little over Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom). Ventilated seats are available from the Fearless Plus PS trim. Engine options include a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine and a 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine. This trim is also offered with a CNG option, making it the most affordable model in its segment with the convenience of ventilated seats.
