Toyota Innova Crysta has received an update for 2026. While the mechanical package remains untouched, Toyota has refreshed the exterior and added new features to the cabin. So, what exactly has changed in the updated Innova Crysta compared to the old model? Here’s a detailed look.
Toyota Innova Crysta new vs old: what’s changed
The first noticeable changes are outside. Toyota has revised the front fascia of the Innova Crysta with a new grille design consisting of three vertical slats finished in chrome. Toyota has also slightly redesigned the bumper with cleaner silver garnish elements around the fog lamp area. The lower black cover is now more visible. At the rear, Toyota has also made changes to the bumper garnish, although the overall silhouette and shape remains the same as the existing model.

The changes are more noticeable inside the cabin. The updated Innova Crysta now gets new dual-tone leather seat upholstery, replacing the simple upholstery finish seen in the earlier model. Toyota has also revised the dashboard and interior trim inserts with gray copper accents and wood-pattern details. Toyota has also added some convenience and safety features that were missing previously. The biggest extras include a wireless phone charger and a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS). These features are now increasingly expected in this segment, especially considering that rivals and even lower priced cars have started offering them.Apart from these additional features, Innova Crysta continues to offer features like touchscreen infotainment with smartphone connectivity, steering-mounted controls, automatic climate control and rear AC vents.
New Toyota Innova Crysta: Engine
Mechanically, nothing has changed. The updated Innova Crysta continues to be powered by the same 2.4-litre diesel engine paired with a manual gearbox. This powertrain produces 150 hp and 343 Nm of peak torque.
New Toyota Innova Crysta: Variants and price
Toyota has also retained the same variant structure. The updated Innova Crysta is available in GX, GX+, VX and ZX trims, with both 7-seat and 8-seat configurations depending on the variant. Prices now start at Rs 19.72 lakh and go up to Rs 26.63 lakh, ex-showroom. However, pricing has increased for each trim.
